“Peter Obi Is With Us, He Has Aligned with Abure,” Says Labour Party Legal Adviser
The Labour Party’s legal adviser, Kehinde Edun, has stated that the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is still with the party and in communication with its embattled national chairman, Julius Abure.
Speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, on Wednesday, Edun responded to questions about Obi’s stance amid the party’s leadership crisis. “I believe so. He hasn’t made any categorical statement about that. He hasn’t said he has left the party. Yes, he’s with us, and I believe he’s speaking with Abure. That’s what I know and believe,” he said.
The Labour Party has been embroiled in internal conflicts, with Abure at the center of the leadership dispute.
