“People May Not Like Us, But Things Are Changing” – Tinubu
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed optimism about the progress being made under his administration despite the challenges facing Nigeria. He acknowledged that his government might not enjoy universal approval but insisted that significant changes are underway.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony for the Executive Intelligence Management Course 17 at the National Institute for Security Studies in Abuja, the President, represented by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, highlighted the strides his administration has made in steering the country toward improvement. He noted that although the path has been tough, there are promising signs for the future.
“Things are happening in our country today. People may not like us. They probably will disagree with one or two things. But fundamentally, things are changing. And Nigeria will change,” he remarked.
President Tinubu emphasized the ongoing transformation of the nation’s economy despite the substantial challenges. “The economy is changing. Very tough, very difficult, very huge challenges we are facing. But I can assure you, better days are ahead of us,” he assured.
He also reiterated his government’s commitment to ensuring security and stability across Nigeria, pledging that those involved in criminal activities would be held accountable regardless of their location.
“If you are a bad man, whether you are inside Nigeria or outside, you are in trouble. We will go after you. We will bring you to justice,” he warned.
