PDP Appoints 12 Disciples To Nominate Running Mate for Atiku

Speculations were rife earlier today that the PDP had nominated Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike as Atiku’s running mate for the 2023 presidential election.

But a press release from the PDP National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, has put paid to the rumour stating that screening of the potential nominees will take place tomorrow at 10am.

Bature’s press release reads:

VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE SCREENING COMMITTEE (VPSC)

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Pursuant to the PDP’s Electoral Guidelines PART VI Paragraph 14 has approved the nomination of the following Party Stakeholders to serve on the *Vice Presidential Candidate Screening Committee * for the purpose of the screening/verifying the nominated Vice Presidential Candidate of our Party.

Composition:

1. High Chief Tom Ikimi – Chairman

2. H.E. Capt. Idris I. Wada (rtd) – Member

3. Chief Osita Chidoka – Member

4. Rt. Hon. Binta Bello – Member

5. Chief Mrs. Alh. Mutiat Adedoja – Member

6. Rt. Hon. Austin Opara – Member

7. Prof. Aisha Madawaki – Member

8. Mrs. Ayotunde George-Ologun – Member

9. Chief Mrs. Chidiebelu Mofus – Member

10. H.E. Fidelis Tapgun – Member

11. Dr. Akilu Indabawa- Secretary

12. Mr Sunday Omobo – Administrative Secretary

The Screening Exercise will be at the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall, Wadata Plaza, Abuja FCT, on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Time is 10AM prompt
