Panic in Oguta as Lightning Kills Three, Injures Others
Three people have been confirmed dead and four others injured after a thunderstorm hit Obidi community in Agwa, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. The incident occurred following light rainfall in the area on what initially seemed like a calm evening.
A resident who witnessed the tragedy described the event as shocking and unprecedented. “It was just a light rainfall, yet three people were struck by lightning and they died instantly. Four others were seriously injured. We have never witnessed anything like this before,” the source said.
The sudden deaths have triggered widespread fear and confusion among locals, who are struggling to understand how such a devastating event could occur under what appeared to be mild weather conditions. The community remains in mourning as authorities continue to assess the situation.
