Osun Prison Break: NCoS Names Fugitives, Offers N5 Million Reward

 

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has published the names and photographs of seven inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Ilesa, Osun State, following a structural collapse caused by heavy rainfall on Tuesday morning.

 

In an official statement released on Wednesday, the NCoS announced a N5 million reward for any credible information that leads to the arrest of the escapees.

 

“To encourage public participation, a cash reward of N5 million is being offered to anyone who provides useful information that leads to the recapture of the fleeing inmates,” the statement read.

 

The service urged the public to report any sightings or leads to the nearest security agency, assuring that all information will be handled with “utmost confidentiality and anonymity.”

 

The seven escapees have been identified as:

 

John Micheal (34) – charged with armed robbery

Olalekan Ajofoyinbo (45) – charged with armed robbery

Eze Nweze (40) – charged with armed robbery

Tobi Akin (19) – charged with illegal possession of firearms and armed robbery

Matthew Ogunjimi (20) – charged with illegal possession of firearms and armed robbery

Kabiru Oyedun (39) – charged with murder

Ninalowo Yusuf (28) – charged with breaking and stealing

 

The NCoS has appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate fully with law enforcement to ensure the fugitives are swiftly apprehended.
