Osun 2022: PDP New Era Calls Out on Oyetola’s attempt to disrupt PDP’s campaign to victory.

The New Era group of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has called out on plans by the incumbent Governor of Osun State Adegboyega Oyrtola to disrupt the campaign plans of PDP during the 2022 gubernatorial campaigns.

In a release by Oluwapelumi Gabriel of the New Era group, the group alerted all and sundry of the underground plans of the government.

The release signed by Oluwapelumi Gabriel read:

The denial, by the state government, of the PDP’s request to use the township stadium, Mandela Freedom Park and Osun Technical College playing ground for today’s mega rally is a pointer to the current state of the APC’s camp.

While we are undisturbed by the defeatist antics of the Oyetola government, we will like to remind the current governor of the ripple effect that such actions can have going into the elections on Saturday.

Authoritarian actions as this can only further agitate the already angry youth of Osun state who have shown that they are ready to vote the PDP to victory come election day. Their anger which is a reaction to the APC’s bad leadership over the years should not be toyed with at a time like this.

We demand that the governor, and the APC desist from such acts and let the people recognize the options before them, and ultimately choose the PDP as they have shown that they would. To ensure that a free, fair and peaceful election holds on Saturday, we demand that the governor upholds the agreement reached when he and other aspirants signed the Peace Pact.

The PDP New Era team, however, will continue to engage our supporters on the need to coordinate ourselves in good manner, as omoluabis, regardless on the APC’s antics.
