Onana Refuses To Take De Gea’s Shirt Number At Man Utd
Andre Onana will not be wearing the No.1 shirt at Manchester United, it has been confirmed.
The Cameroon goalkeeper completed his £48million move to Old Trafford on Thursday.
The 27-year-old will wear the No.24 shirt for United.
Onana wore the number at both Inter Milan and Ajax, and has decided against taking the No.1 vacated by David de Gea’s departure.
He has been booked to join up with his new United team-mates for their pre-season tour of the USA.
The goalkeeper, who was sent home from the 2022 World Cup, could make his debut against Arsenal on Saturday.
