Ohanaeze Youths Set up Committees for Iwuanyanwu’s Burial
The Youth Wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has taken significant steps toward organizing the burial of the late President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu. A dedicated burial committee has been formed by the youth wing to ensure their active involvement in the upcoming ceremony.
Mr. Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, the acting national youth leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing, made this announcement during a press conference held in Awka. He emphasized the group’s commitment to honoring Iwuanyanwu, a respected statesman, politician, and businessman, who passed away in July. The burial is scheduled to take place on November 1.
Okpalaezeukwu stated, “We announce the formation of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing Burial Committee for our late leader, Chief Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu – Ahaejiagamba of Igbo land.”
He further explained that the committee would include Commissioners for Youth from all Igbo-speaking states, prominent Igbo youths, and youth leaders from the seven Igbo-speaking regions. The youth wing also expressed its readiness to work closely with both the National Planning Committee established by the South East Governors Forum (SEGOF) and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to ensure a smooth and befitting ceremony for the revered leader.
Iwuanyanwu’s legacy as a leader in Igbo land will be honored by these collective efforts, which aim to bring together youths from across the region in celebration of his contributions.
