The Federal Government’s diligent repair efforts on the damaged segments of the Minna/Kaduna/Kano railway tracks have been completed, receiving certification from the NRC for their operational readiness.

Welcoming the train’s arrival were key NRC management figures, including Obafunso Suleimon, the representative of the Railway District Manager, North Western District, alongside other officials. This moment marked a substantial milestone in the overall restoration process.

Passengers can anticipate a lavish travel experience aboard the revitalized 2LL, boasting modernized coaches equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for unparalleled comfort and style. The decision for the train to overnight in Minna before continuing its journey to Lagos reflects the final preparations ensuring the safety and reliability of the Minna to Lagos tracks.

Expressing enthusiasm, Obafunso Suleimon acknowledged the Federal Government’s commitment, particularly lauding the efforts of Minister of Transportation, Said Alkali, and NRC’s Managing Director, Fidet Okheria, in rejuvenating the railway system for the benefit of the Nigerian populace.

The return of the express train stands as a testament to the government’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the nation’s transportation infrastructure.
