“Nobody in This World Can Put Hardship on You, Only Allah,” Jigawa Governor Tells Protesters

The Jigawa State governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has addressed protesters, emphasizing that only Allah has the power to determine one’s economic status. This statement was made during a Thursday night broadcast in response to recent protests against hunger and economic hardship in the state.

Governor Namadi stressed that looting and destruction of property by those posing as #EndBadGovernance protesters is not a solution to their grievances. He firmly stated, “As Muslims, we believe that there’s nobody in this world that can put hardship on you, only Allah (SWT), and there’s nobody that can rescue you from that hardship. The governor also condemned the use of young boys by individuals to vandalize and steal property, highlighting that such actions are contrary to the state’s cultural and traditional values.
