No More Excuses! APC Anambra New Media Tells Governor Soludo to Shape Up or Ship Out
In a stern message to Governor Charles Soludo, the APC Anambra New Media has called on the governor to shift focus from propaganda and begin fulfilling promises made to the people of Anambra State. The group emphasizes that time is running out for the governor and urges him to take concrete actions in governance.
The recent circulating propaganda video showcasing applause from Senator Ifeanyi Ubah for Governor Soludo’s performance has sparked controversy. The APC Anambra New Media defends Ubah’s supportive gesture, asserting that the governor must now deliver on promises or face apologies to the people of Anambra on his behalf.
The group raises concerns about the governor’s handling of security funds and points to the failure to conduct local government elections as a breach of promises. Accusations of neglecting vital projects in Okpoko and an absence of completed road projects within two years in office are highlighted in the message.
Drawing a stark comparison, the group praises Senator Ifeanyi Ubah for proactively using personal funds to address security concerns in Anambra South Senatorial District. The APC Anambra New Media questions Governor Soludo’s inability to fulfill security promises and highlights the senator’s significant efforts in combating insecurity.
The group accuses Governor Soludo of financial mismanagement, citing reports of commissioners begging for alms on the streets of Awka while the governor allegedly diverts funds to questionable road contracts handled by close associates. Allegations of misuse of state funds for personal projects, including a reported quarterly allocation for the governor’s daughter’s fashion shows, further intensify the critique.
In a direct call for transparency, the APC Anambra New Media demands the governor to publish the names of those who donated to the state security trust fund and provide a detailed account of fund usage within two weeks.
The message concludes by warning Governor Soludo that his early campaigning for a second term will not distract the people from evaluating his governance style. The group questions the need for propaganda if the administration is indeed performing well, leaving the governor with a ticking clock and growing scrutiny from APC Anambra New Media.
