Nnewi Community in Abuja Endorses Prince Samben Nwosu for Senate

The Nnewi community in Abuja has thrown its weight behind Prince Samben Ikechukwu Nwosu as their preferred candidate for the upcoming senatorial by-election in Anambra South. This endorsement came during the community’s 2024 end-of-year gathering, which witnessed a significant turnout of members expressing their support for Nwosu.

In a series of speeches at the event, attendees lauded Nwosu’s leadership qualities and described him as a dedicated servant leader with a proven track record of delivering results. Lady Oputa, the women leader of the Nnewi community, highlighted his capacity to provide effective representation during what she described as a critical time for Anambra South. “It is men like Samben, with his humility and sagacity, that can truly serve the people in the Red Chambers,” she said.

Sir Okwudili Ikejiani, another prominent member of the community, praised Nwosu’s previous contributions, including his tenure as a Federal Complaints Commissioner and his leadership as the former President of the Nnewi community in Abuja. “We know his capabilities and are confident he won’t fail,” Ikejiani stated.

The president of the community, Sir Godwin Ejezie, also expressed strong support for Nwosu, describing the endorsement as a positive step for the forum. His sentiments were echoed by other community members, including Barrister Eric Udogu from Umudim and Miss Ginika Izumuo, both of whom committed to rallying additional support for Nwosu. They referred to him as a worthy replacement for the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, whose position he seeks to fill.

The event concluded with a prayer session led by Sir Rufus Emekchukwu, during which the community prayed for unity and success in their collective mission to support Prince Samben Nwosu’s senatorial bid.
