Nigerian Nurse Found Dead in UK Apartment After Trip to Nigeria for Wedding Introduction
A UK-based Nigerian nurse, identified as Nurse Miriam, has been found dead in her apartment in Leeds, United Kingdom, just days after returning from Nigeria where she had gone for her wedding introduction.
The heartbreaking news was shared on social media by fellow Nigerian nurse Ibironke Khadeejah Quadri, who revealed that Miriam completed her last shift on a Sunday and had not been heard from since. Concerned by the sudden silence, a friend attempted to contact her but received no response. After filing a missing persons report, police officers forced entry into her residence, where they discovered her lifeless body.
Reports indicate that Nurse Miriam had only recently returned to the UK from her visit to Nigeria and that her partner had not yet joined her in the UK. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
