Nigerian Caregiver in Toronto Arrested Over Alleged Assaults on Vulnerable Adults
Toronto police have arrested a caregiver at an East Toronto group home following allegations of multiple assaults on residents.
Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, 38, has been charged with seven counts of assault. The alleged incidents reportedly occurred between November 1 and November 30, 2025, at the facility housing vulnerable adults.
Police say they responded to a call on December 10, 2025, in the Sibley and Dentonia Park area regarding the alleged assaults. An investigation followed, including a public appeal for information, which eventually led to Ejerua’s arrest last week.
Toronto police confirmed in a news release on January 12 that Ejerua has been formally charged. He is expected to appear in court at a later date. The charges have not been proven in court.
