Newly Re-elected APC State Assistant Publicity Secretary Dies, Party Mourns
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has confirmed the death of its newly re-elected Assistant Publicity Secretary, Karamo Yesiro, barely 24 hours after he secured another term in office.
Yesiro was re-elected during the Lagos State APC congress held on Wednesday at Onikan Stadium. He was among the party officials expected to be inaugurated with other newly elected state executives at the party’s secretariat on Thursday.
In a statement issued in Lagos, the party’s spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, said members of the Lagos chapter received news of Yesiro’s death with shock.
Oladejo described the development as a painful loss, noting that the late party official died shortly after being entrusted with renewed responsibility to serve on the party’s State Executive Council.
According to him, Yesiro was known within the party for his dedication and commitment to its activities.
He said the late official’s willingness to serve and his engagement with party members had made him a recognised figure within the Lagos APC.
Oladejo added that although Yesiro’s tenure in the new executive team was cut short, his contributions to the party would be remembered.
The party extended condolences to Yesiro’s family, friends, political associates and supporters, stating that members of the Lagos APC are united in mourning his death.
