Newly Appointed Edo APC Media Director, John Mayaki, Rejects Position
Mr. John Mayaki, the newly appointed Director of New Media for the Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Election Campaign Council, has rejected the offer, citing personal reasons for his decision.
In a statement released on Sunday in Benin, Mayaki expressed his gratitude for being considered for the position but explained that he could not accept due to potential conflicts arising from his working relationship with another individual initially considered for the role.
Mayaki emphasized the importance of maintaining a harmonious work environment and stated that accepting the position could lead to uncomfortable situations. He prioritized living by principles of peace, integrity, and goodwill, stating, “I do not wish to hold grudges or engage in actions that could generate bad blood between myself and others.”
He further iterated that he had communicated his decision to relevant leaders before the final announcement, emphasizing his commitment to acting in a manner that aligns with his values and fosters positive relationships.
