Naira Strengthens for Third Straight Day, Gains Against US Dollar
The Naira has recorded three consecutive gains against the US dollar at Nigeria’s official foreign exchange market. Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the currency strengthened to N1,442.92 per dollar on Wednesday, up from N1,446.32 on Tuesday, marking a daily gain of N3.4.
Meanwhile, the Naira remained unchanged at N1,465 per dollar on the black market, holding steady from the previous day. Over the past three days, the currency has gained a total of N10.92, nearly offsetting losses experienced earlier in the week.
The positive momentum in the Naira comes alongside a rise in the country’s foreign reserves, which reached $44.46 billion as of November 24, 2025, according to the Central Bank.
