NAF Eliminates Scores of Terrorists in Kaduna Airstrikes
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the elimination of scores of terrorists during recent airstrikes in Giwa and Igabi local government areas of Kaduna State. This announcement was made by AVM Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, on Sunday in Abuja.
According to Gabkwet, the Air Component of Operation Whirl Stroke has been conducting continuous air operations with significant success, despite challenging weather conditions. One of the strikes, targeting Alhaji Layi’s enclave in Kufan Shantu Village, Giwa Local Government Area, took place on Friday, resulting in the destruction of logistics hidden under dense foliage.
On Saturday, similar precision strikes were conducted over terrorists’ camps in Malum Forest, Igabi Local Government Area. Gabkwet reported that the Battle Damage Assessment footage revealed terrorists loitering around a compound with zinc-roofed structures, leading to an authorized precision strike that eliminated most of the terrorists.
These operations are part of ongoing efforts to diminish the capabilities of criminal elements in the North West.
