MultiChoice Forced to Revert DStv, GOtv Subscription Prices Following Court Order (Full Price List)

MultiChoice, the parent company of DStv and GOtv, has been compelled by a court order to revert to its previous subscription prices. The court ruled that the recent price hikes, which were implemented to counteract high inflation and the devaluation of the naira, were unjustified.

Reports indicate that MultiChoice has experienced a substantial loss of over a million subscribers in Nigeria due to the price increase.

The revised subscription prices are as follows:

DStv Packages:

Premium: N29,500 (down from N37,000)

Compact+: N19,800 (down from N25,000)

Compact: N12,500 (down from N15,700)

Confam: N7,400 (down from N9,300)

Yanga: N4,200 (down from N5,100)

Padi: N2,950 (down from N3,600)

GOtv Packages:

Super+: N12,500 (down from N15,700)

Super: N7,600 (down from N9,600)

Max: N5,700

Joli: N3,950

Jinja: N2,700 (down from N3,300)

It remains uncertain whether MultiChoice will comply with the court’s directive to offer a month of free subscription to its customers. The company has expressed its intention to challenge the court’s ruling, asserting that it does not support their business model.
