Mother Demands Justice After 2-Year-Old Dies at Lagos School
A grieving mother is demanding answers after her two-year-old daughter tragically passed away at Smiley Kids Montessori in Sangotedo, Lagos State, on Wednesday, January 15.
According to the mother, her child left home healthy but never returned alive. School authorities reportedly informed her that the little girl drowned. However, she suspects foul play, alleging that her daughter was electrocuted and that her body was placed in the pool to make it appear as a drowning incident.
Sharing a picture of the pool, which is surrounded by a high barricade, she questioned how a toddler could have gained access to it. She has called on the Lagos State Government to launch a thorough investigation into the matter.
In response, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has acknowledged the case and assured that it will be investigated.
