Moon Sighting: Sultan Announces Friday 21st As Eid-el-Fitr
Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, has confirmed the sighting of the moon.
This signals the end of Ramadan fasting.
Abubakar made the announcement in a live broadcast on Thursday.
He said his office received information on the sighting of the moon to mark the end of the fasting.
He declared Friday 21st of April 2023 as the first day of Shawwal 1444AH in Nigeria.
The Sultan felicitated Nigerian Muslims and wished them God’s guidance and blessings, urging them to continue to pray for peace progress and development of the country.
