Missing Banker Found Dead in Lagos, Family Alleges Foul Play
The body of 26-year-old Osemudiamen Idemudia, a Lagos-based banker who had been declared missing, has been found in a morgue in Yaba, Lagos State. Idemudia, who worked in the Point-of-Sale department of a commercial bank in Ikota, was last seen on May 9 around the CMS area of Lagos Island.
Following an intense search through several hospitals and mortuaries, a family member identified as Segun confirmed on Sunday that the young banker had been found dead. He revealed that Idemudia’s body bore multiple machete wounds on his head, face, and legs, pointing to what he described as a brutal murder.
According to Segun, morgue staff told the family that the body was deposited by police officers. However, they were unable to provide further information about the exact location from which the body was recovered or the identities of the officers involved. This lack of detail has deepened the mystery surrounding Idemudia’s death.
The family has since laid the young man to rest, burying his remains on Tuesday.
