Meet the only PDP house of Assembly member standing in Lagos state.

His name is Dipo Olorunrinu, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing the good people of Amuwo Odofin Constituency 1.

What is more amazing is that Hon. Dipo is only 36 years old. So he was only 32 when he emerged as candidate of the PDP and won his election into the house of Assembly. Not too young to run was already alive and kicking in PDP even before the bill was ever sponsored by Hon Tony Nwulu, a 2015 PDP house of rep member.

Hon. Dipo is the only member of the PDP in the 40 man strong house of Assembly in Lagos state. He flies solo.

He had won his election in 2015 along with 7 other PDP candidates but 7 others defected to APC after allegedly being offered N100m each and a house.

Dipo refused to decamp. Hear him: “I came into the house on a platform which is the PDP and I am resolute to remain in PDP and that is what INTEGRITY means to me.”

“We (PDP) have always been members of the opposition in the assembly whether we are eight, seven or one. Minority is minority.

“S whether it has reduced from eight to one has not changed anything personally for me. I represent the people that voted me here.”

This is an amazing story and really inspiring. Dipo is running for election and very confident of winning. He is currently the chairman of the PDP Lagos State House of Assembly candidates and is providing strong leadership to the fresh candidates.
