Max Air Faces Backlash as Recurring Technical Faults Ground Abuja-Maiduguri Flight
Passengers at Maiduguri International Airport find themselves stranded due to a Max Air aircraft repeatedly experiencing technical faults during its Abuja-Maiduguri flight.
Concerns escalate as passengers question the airworthiness of the aircraft, urging aviation authorities to intervene and prevent a potential disaster.
According to a passenger, the same aircraft encountered issues on Friday but still proceeded with its Abuja flight around 2 pm. Today, it failed to take off from Maiduguri due to another technical fault.
Expressing their worries, a passenger stated, “This is an accident waiting to happen. The sooner Max Air is grounded in Nigerian airspace, the better, to save innocent lives.”
Attempts to contact Max Air for comments was futile..
This incident follows a recent panic on a Dana flight from Lagos to Abuja on November 22, where an aborted take-off occurred due to a faulty engine. Passengers were left stranded at Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two, expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of response from relevant authorities.
As air travel safety concerns rise, passengers call for swift action and stringent measures to ensure the reliability of aircraft in Nigerian airspace.
