Man Who Breached Protocol During Tinubu’s Visit Diagnosed With Psychiatric Disorder — Kaduna Police

The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed that the man who breached security protocol during President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit to Kaduna has a history of psychiatric disorders. The incident occurred at the Murtala Mohammed Square, where the President was commissioning various projects.

According to a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, the individual, identified as Umar Mohammed from Anguwan Muazu in Kaduna, was born with psychiatric conditions. He had been screened and admitted into the venue as a supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), wearing party apparel and holding banners bearing the images of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani, similar to other attendees.

The police explained that Mohammed acted out of excitement and curiosity, breaching the restricted area in an attempt to get a closer view of the President. Security personnel swiftly intercepted and arrested him. A thorough search revealed no incriminating items in his possession.

Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammad has since cautioned against politicising the event or spreading misinformation. He assured the public that the matter is under further investigation.
