Man Stabs, Bathes Wife with Hot Oil During Argument
A man identified as Sholola Kazeem has been arrested by operatives of the Owode Egba Police Division for allegedly pouring hot oil on his wife and stabbing her in the head during an argument in Ogun State.
The incident occurred at their residence in the Ring Road community of Owode Egba Local Government Area. According to police spokesperson Omolola Odutola, members of the community reported the attack at about 12:20 p.m. on Saturday.
Responding swiftly, the Divisional Police Officer led a team to the scene, where the suspect was apprehended. Odutola confirmed that the assault stemmed from a domestic dispute, during which Kazeem, in a fit of rage, doused his wife, Sholola Mutiat, with hot oil before stabbing her.
The victim was rushed to Ore Ofe Hospital for medical attention. Authorities have examined the crime scene, and an investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances of the attack.
