Man Arrested for Sharing Nude Photos of Ex-Girlfriend on Social Media
In a joint operation led by the Ughelli Area Command of the Nigeria Police and the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Mr. Daddy K. Odiete has been apprehended for allegedly posting explicit photos of his ex-girlfriend on social media as an act of revenge following the end of their relationship.
This shocking incident, which had remained unresolved for approximately two months, finally saw a breakthrough when the collaborative efforts of the CDHR, Delta State chapter, and local law enforcement led to the arrest of the suspect. The victim’s identity is being protected.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld for her protection, reported the incident to the Nigeria Police Force, Area Command, Ughelli, back in August. The CDHR swiftly launched an investigation and played a crucial role in tracking down the perpetrator.
In a statement, Comrade A.P. Edariese, the Chairman of CDHR Delta State, stated, “This incident is one of too many of its kind in our present-day society and should serve as a deterrent to others with similar intentions.”
The Area Commander of the Delta Central Area Command, Ughelli, has received commendation for his relentless efforts in bringing the suspect to justice. This arrest emphasizes the importance of safeguarding online privacy and upholding the rights of individuals, even in the face of personal disputes.
