Man Arrested for Demanding Sex from Two Women Caught Stealing Pepper
A 22-year-old man has been arrested by the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly attempting to rape two women he caught stealing pepper from a farm in Ita-Olokan, Osogbo. The NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Adeleke, said in a statement on Monday, August 11, 2025, that although the farm does not belong to the suspect, he confronted the women and threatened to hand them over to security operatives unless they allowed him to have sex with them.
According to the statement, one of the women managed to escape, while the suspect allegedly held down the other, physically assaulted her, and attempted to force himself on her. The suspect, in his confession, claimed he had only laid on the victim and ejaculated quickly, fearing that the escaped woman might alert others.
The NSCDC Commandant in Osun State, Igbalawole Sotiyo, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to tackling crime and urged residents to promptly report suspicious activities to the corps.
