Lifeless Body of Pregnant Woman Found in Imo Bush
The lifeless body of an unidentified pregnant woman was discovered in a bush along the Amaraku-Umudim Road in Isiala-Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. The grim find occurred early Tuesday morning, leaving the community in distress.
According to sources, the deceased woman’s upper garment was removed, though her body bore no signs of blood or trauma. A resident, speaking on condition of anonymity, expressed confusion over the lack of visible injuries. “It happened in the morning of Tuesday. The woman was killed and dumped in the bush along Amaraku-Umudim Road. She is pregnant and was stripped naked of her upper wear. But the confusing thing is that she did not sustain any blood stain as to link her death to assassins or gunmen. We are yet to find out exactly what led to her death.”
The identity of the woman remains unknown, and the circumstances surrounding her death are still under investigation. When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, indicated he had not yet been briefed on the incident but promised to provide updates once more information was available.
