Lagos State PDP ready to participate and win Lagos Council Elections – Engr Doherty
The Chairman People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Lagos State Chapter, Engr Adedeji Doherty has in a recent press parley confirmed the readiness of the party in the state to not only participate in the forthcoming State council elections but also to outrightly win positions for councilors and chairmen.
The Chairman stated that, machinery are in place to ensure success, in view of this, he implored all interested aspirants to immediately commence the house to house mobilisation campaigns in their wards, LCDA’s and LGA’s.
He also advised all party faithfuls to work together in unity to ensure the desired success in the forthcoming council elections.
Engr Doherty however, called on the Justice Phillips (rtd) led Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), to please come out with the necessary timetable for the elections in good time.
He however stated that people seem to have lost confidence in LASIEC because of huge allegations of erroneous vote allocations to APC candidates in the past.
He advised LASIEC to ensure that this elections are based on one man one vote.
He further advised that LASIEC could gain back the confidence of the general public with the proper handling of the forthcoming council elections.
Engr Doherty also called on Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to ensure that the elections are free and fair in all ramifications.
