Lagos DPO Slumps, Dies in Office
CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Ijanikin Police Station under the Lagos State Police Command, has passed away. The senior officer reportedly collapsed in his office on Thursday night and was pronounced dead before he could be taken to the hospital.
The sudden death of CSP Olugbenga has left officers at the Ijanikin Police Station in deep mourning, as the news spread through the division. A colleague from the station, speaking on the condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident, stating, “He slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. But sadly, we lost him.”
As of the time of this report, the Lagos State Police Command had not yet released an official statement regarding the tragedy. CSP Olugbenga’s body has been transported to a nearby mortuary, pending further arrangements.
