Kano Lawmakers nail Sanusi’s coffin as they send bill breaking Emirates into five to Governor Ganduje for assent.
The Kano state house of assembly today passed a bill approving the decentralising of the Kano Emirates.
This bill creates four additional emirates and in addition to creating the Emirates, the bill also seeks to make all the Emir’s of the new Emirates first class traditional rulers.
The additional Emirates are: Rano, Karaye, Bichi and Gaya emirates.
Governor Ganduje who has boasted repeatedly that he will clip Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s wings is expected to sign the bill into law.
