JUST IN: Wike Hosts Suspended Rivers Assembly Members in UK ‘During Capacity’ Building Trip
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Monday, April 7, hosted suspended members of the Rivers State House of Assembly currently in the United Kingdom. The lawmakers, who are on a Legislative Capacity Building Course, were treated to a dinner by the minister.
According to the minister’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, Wike departed Nigeria on Sunday night following visits to political allies in Port Harcourt. He then travelled to the UK to meet with the suspended assembly members.
Olayinka shared a video of the gathering on social media platform X, noting that the meeting was part of the minister’s engagement with the lawmakers during their stay abroad.
