JUST IN: Valentine Ozigbo Heads to Court Over Anambra APC Guber Primary

Valentine Ozigbo, who secured 62 votes in the April 5, 2025, APC Anambra governorship primary, has filed a lawsuit to challenge the outcome, which declared Prince Nicolas Ukachukwu as the party’s candidate with over 1,000 votes.

In a powerful statement posted on his verified Facebook page, Ozigbo described the primary as “a well-scripted illusion” and a “theatre of deceit,” alleging widespread irregularities. Ozigbo further asserted that Ukachukwu did not meet the eligibility criteria to run under APC, accusing the party of twisting its rules to accommodate his candidacy. “This is not just about my candidacy; it is about the soul of our party and, by extension, our democracy,” he stated.

Having exhausted the internal appeals process, Ozigbo vowed to take the matter to court, emphasizing that his actions are not driven by a pursuit of power but by a commitment to justice, fairness, and due process. He stressed that the goal is to restore the integrity of the APC and ensure it remains a vehicle for democratic leadership.

“I am not desperate for power. I seek only what is just and right. I will not stand by while the moral architecture of our party collapses under the weight of fraud,” Ozigbo concluded.
