JUST IN: Sixteen Prospective Corps Members Killed in Tragic Crash on Journey to Gombe NYSC Camp
Sixteen prospective corps members travelling to the NYSC orientation camp in Gombe State have died in a devastating road accident. Two others on the same trip survived but remain in critical condition at a hospital.
All the victims were graduates of Adeyemi Federal University of Education in Ondo State and were said to be en route to camp in an 18-seater bus when the crash occurred. Witnesses described the scene as catastrophic, noting that the impact left only two survivors, both severely injured.
Emergency teams recovered the bodies and moved the injured to a nearby medical facility. Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps have begun investigating the cause of the accident, while the NYSC is yet to release an official statement.
