JUST IN: Protesters Ignite Bonfire Outside Kano Government House
In a dramatic escalation of the ongoing nationwide protests against economic hardship, demonstrators in Kano set up a bonfire in front of the Government House on Thursday morning.
The protesters, drawn from various parts of the metropolis, gathered outside the Government House anticipating an address from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. Tensions escalated as some participants assembled tyres and set them ablaze near the gate.
