JUST IN: PDP Suspends National Secretary Anyawu, Legal Adviser, Organizing Secretary, Others After Court Ruling

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended four senior officials, including its National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN). Also affected are the Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha, and National Organizing Secretary, Umaru Bature.

The one-month suspension follows a court ruling that halted the party’s planned national convention.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, announced the decision while addressing journalists after an emergency NWC meeting held on Saturday at the party’s Legacy House in Maitama, Abuja.

Ologunagba stated that the action was taken in line with the party’s constitution and that the suspended officials have been referred to the PDP Disciplinary Committee for further review.

Although the party did not give detailed reasons for the suspensions, insiders say the decision is part of efforts to restore order and discipline within the party after the court’s intervention disrupted its convention plans.
