JUST IN: PDP Staff Shut Doors on Anyanwu Over Attempt to Reclaim Office

Tensions flared at the National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja this morning, as staff locked up their offices and walked out in protest against what they described as an aggressive attempt by Senator Samuel Anyanwu to force his way back in as National Secretary.

The usually bustling Wadata Plaza fell eerily quiet as staff refused to open the gates or engage with Anyanwu, who arrived with a group of men many suspected to be hired thugs. “It felt like an ambush,” said one staff member who witnessed the scene. “We knew what was coming, so we decided to act first. We locked everything and left.”

This show of defiance follows the party’s National Working Committee’s (NWC) earlier decision to appoint Hon. Setonji Koshodeo as Acting National Secretary—an instruction staff say they are bound to uphold.

“We stand with the NWC,” another staffer told SK Blog. “Senator Anyanwu is not recognised here. We won’t be part of anything illegal or disruptive.”

Witnesses say Anyanwu lingered outside for some time, apparently taken aback by the unified resistance. After what seemed like a tense standoff, his aides reportedly advised him to leave to avoid further embarrassment. He quietly exited the scene.
