JUST IN: Nigeria Surges with Impressive 2.54% GDP Growth in Q3
In a notable economic achievement, Nigeria’s gross domestic product (GDP) experienced a substantial surge, marking a robust growth of 2.54% in the third quarter (Q3) of 2023, as reported by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
This growth surpasses the figures from the same quarter last year, which stood at 2.25%, and notably outperforms the second quarter of 2023, where the GDP recorded a growth rate of 2.51%. The NBS unveiled these promising statistics in its latest GDP report for Q3, released on Friday.
According to the bureau, the driving force behind this impressive growth rate is attributed to the dynamic performance of the services sector, signaling positive economic momentum for Nigeria.
