JUST IN: NASS to Extend 2024 Budget Implementation, Says Akpabio
The federal government plans to extend the implementation of the 2024 budget until June 30, 2025. Senate President Godswill Akpabio revealed this during the presentation of the 2025 budget on Wednesday.
In his address, Akpabio announced that the National Assembly has initiated the process to ensure the extension of the 2024 budget’s implementation timeline. He added that the proposal would soon be deliberated upon and forwarded to President Bola Tinubu for approval.
President Tinubu was present at the joint session of the National Assembly to deliver the 2025 budget proposal.
