JUST IN: Labour Party House of Reps Member, Hon Ekene Adams, Dies in Kaduna
The Nigerian political landscape has been struck by another loss as Hon Ekene Abubakar Adams, a member of the House of Representatives, has passed away in Kaduna. This tragic event comes just days after the death of another House member, Hon Olaide Akinremi Jagaban.
Hon Ekene Adams, who was elected under the Labour Party, represented the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State. Before his political career, Adams was a professional football player and served as the General Manager of Kada City Football Club and Remo Stars. He won his House of Representatives seat in the 2023 elections and was serving as the Chairman of the House Committee on Sports until his death.
The Kaduna State Yoca League Community Development (KSCD YOCA) expressed profound sorrow over the loss of their patron. In a statement, the President Malam Nasiru Adamu Datti Stars (Chiji), Vice Chairman AL Ameen Ibn Musa, and the entire KSCD YOCA family extended their heartfelt condolences to the Adams family. They praised his unwavering support and guidance, stating that his passing leaves a significant void in their hearts and that his legacy will continue to inspire.
“May his gentle soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire us. He will never be forgotten,” the KSCD YOCA statement concluded.
