JUST IN: I Rejected Jonathan’s Offer to Work in His Government – Sowore

Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has revealed that he once turned down an offer to serve in former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

Speaking on State of the Nation on LEADERSHIP TV, Sowore disclosed that Jonathan reached out to him through an emissary while he was in the United Kingdom. According to him, the former president sent someone to meet him in Breton with an offer, including money, but he declined.

“I cannot work with the people under his administration,” Sowore said, explaining that his decision was driven by his strong opposition to the political establishment.

He also reflected on his past involvement with activists challenging the government of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, suggesting that Jonathan was the only politician with whom he had any form of connection.

Known for his sharp criticism of Nigerian leaders and his advocacy for good governance, Sowore has consistently distanced himself from mainstream political structures, positioning himself as an independent force in the country’s political landscape.
