(JUST IN) Hunger Protest: Tinubu Postpones FEC Meeting, Summons Security Chiefs to Aso Rock
President Bola Tinubu has postponed the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting that was scheduled for Monday afternoon. Ministers who had gathered at the Council Chambers in the Presidential Villa were seen leaving the venue around noon.
Reports indicate that only a few ministers had arrived before the meeting was rescheduled. Sources suggest that the delay may be related to an urgent security meeting currently underway at the Presidential Villa, which is being chaired by President Tinubu.
The agenda for the FEC meeting had not been disclosed, but it was anticipated that the council would address recent protests and deliberate on potential responses. This postponement follows President Tinubu’s nationwide broadcast on Sunday, where he urged protesters to halt their demonstrations and engage in dialogue.
