JUST IN: Federal Housing Authority Director Abducted Near Military Camp in Abuja
Aondo Ver, a director at the Federal Housing Authority in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been kidnapped by suspected bandits. The incident happened around 12:30 am on Thursday at Pambara New Extension in the Bwari Central Area, just 200 meters from a military camp and checkpoint.
Sources reveal that the assailants breached the premises by cutting through barb wires surrounding Pambara New Extension. Despite the proximity to the military camp, the kidnappers managed to escape, leaving the area on high alert.
Local vigilantes attempted to rescue the victim, but their efforts were hindered by their limited weaponry. Unfortunately, their poorly armed attempts proved futile, and Aondo Ver remains in the hands of the kidnappers.
Several attempts to contact Josephine Adeh, the FCT police spokesperson, for a statement on the situation, but she was unreachable at the time of reporting.
