JUST IN: Ex-Oyo Governor Ajimobi’s Eldest Daughter, Bisola Kola-Daisi, Dies at 42
Bisola Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of former Oyo State Governor, the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has passed away at the age of 42. Reports indicate that she died in London, United Kingdom.
Oyo-based news platform OyoInsight broke the news on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Bisola was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi, a prominent Ibadan-born politician and banking executive. She was also a devoted mother to their three children.
Confirming the heartbreaking loss, her husband Kolapo shared a tribute on social media, saying, “The world has lost a shining star. Bisola was not just my wife; she was my partner in everything. Her spirit will live on in our children.”
A philanthropist and entrepreneur, Bisola was well known for her contributions to the business world. She served as the Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Ltd., a leading retail and wholesale chain established in 1984. She was also the founder of Florence H. Luxury boutique, where she made a name for herself in the fashion industry.
Beyond business, she was actively involved in governance and served as a special adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu, before her passing.
As of now, the Kola-Daisi and Ajimobi families have not released an official statement regarding her death.
