JUST IN: Ex-Immigration Boss Not Killed by Kidnappers, Died in Hotel After Receiving Female Guest – Police

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the death of former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang. Authorities have dismissed speculation that he was kidnapped and killed, clarifying the circumstances of his passing.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, Parradang died at a hotel in Abuja after receiving a female visitor. The police emphasized that circulating reports of abduction were false and assured the public that investigations were ongoing.

Parradang checked into Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, on March 3, 2025, at around noon, driving a black Mercedes-Benz. He paid ₦22,000 for a one-night stay and later instructed a hotel attendant to escort a female guest to his room. The woman reportedly left the premises at approximately 4:00 PM the same day.

After her departure, Parradang remained in his room. Concerned about his whereabouts, a friend—identified as a military officer—tracked him to the hotel early the next morning. Around 4:00 AM on March 4, the officer, along with the hotel receptionist, entered the room and found him unresponsive, seated in a chair.

The Durumi Police Station was immediately alerted, and officers arrived at the scene to secure evidence and document their findings. Parradang’s body was transferred to the National Hospital for further examination, while hotel staff are cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.
