JUST IN: Court Restrains Amaewhule Group from Parading Themselves as Rivers Assembly Members
A Rivers High Court, presided over by Hon. Justice Charles N. Wali, has taken decisive action against alleged impostors within the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The court, through an interim injunction, has restrained Martin Amaewhule and his associates from presenting themselves as members of the legislative body. They are specifically prohibited from convening at the Assembly’s Auditorium situated off Aba Road, Port Harcourt, or any other venue, to engage in legislative activities.
This legal action follows the declaration of their legislative seats as vacant, pending the resolution of a Motion on Notice.
Hon. Justice Charles N. Wali emphasized the importance of upholding the integrity and sanctity of the legislative process pending the determination of the case.
