JUST IN: Court Adjourns Bail Hearing for El-Rufai to March 31
A Federal High Court in Kaduna State has adjourned the bail hearing of Nasir El-Rufai to March 31, 2026.
The adjournment followed proceedings on Tuesday, where both the prosecution and defense presented arguments on the bail application.
Counsel to the defendant, Ukpon Akpan, asked the court to grant bail, citing his client’s constitutional rights and the need for sufficient time to prepare a defense.
The prosecution opposed the request, stating that the charges are serious and arguing that granting bail could affect ongoing investigations.
