JUST IN: Bandits Release Abducted Children of Kaduna Judge
Bandits have freed the abducted children of Kaduna State judge Janet Galadima, ending a harrowing fifteen-day ordeal. The Chairman of the Kaduna State branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, Barrister Godwin Ochai, officially announced the release earlier today.
The judge and her four children were kidnapped by bandits on June 23, 2024, from their residence in Sabo. Tragically, during the captivity, the criminals took the life of the eldest son, 14-year-old Victor Galadima. This news comes despite efforts by security forces to secure the safe return of all family members.
The Kaduna State Police Command’s spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the heartbreaking loss while expressing condolences to the Galadima family. The judge was previously released by the bandits shortly after the death of her eldest son, leaving her other children in captivity until their recent release.
