JUST IN: APC Reacts to Report of SGF Akume’s Resignation

Reports circulating that Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. Dr. George Akume, CON, has resigned his position and been appointed as APC National Chairman are false.
In an official statement issued by Dan-Morgan Ihomun, the State Publicity Secretary of the APC in Benue State, the party made it clear that Akume remains fully committed to his duties and continues to serve the nation as SGF.
“Let me state clearly that the SGF has not resigned. He remains fully committed and is actively carrying out his duties in service to the nation. Please disregard any rumors or misinformation to the contrary,” Ihomun said.
